Friday: Of Dancing Company

We had our first food delivery today; I tried the ASDA site and decided to give it a go as it is a major pain to carry all the food for 6 men with only three bodies (and most times it isn’t even three people carrying). I was fairly happy with the outcome; I’d booked a 9-11 delivery slot, but got a call at 8:30 asking if it was okay if they delivered it early. I was like “uh, yes” so I had my food prior to 9. Good thing too; there was a LOT of food. The total was about 76 quid, but as the food was to last 6 days, I figured it was a fair deal. Z, Neo and Ernest agreed. Edi blinked a little but was fine. Sam complained about it being too much. As he never does the shopping, I ignored his opinions.

The food delivery was very fortunate as I was having quests over that evening. Caeli (think "Kaylee"), Wibke, Carleigh, Natalie, Jenny, and Maria were coming over for supper before we walked about 3 minutes to go to the ceilidh hosted on Rez that evening.

My classmate Hannah was part of the band playing, and couldn’t make it over for food; though it’d have been nice had she been able to. They girls all seemed to really like the food, so that was good. I cleaned all the dishes after we ate, and left food for those flatmates who weren’t coming (Zax and Neo were, so I fed ‘em first). The flatmates made a complete muddle of the kitchen while I was out, which irked me greatly, but such is the norm around here, I’m afraid.

The ceilidh itself was a scream. The dancing was fun, the music was really good, and I had a great time hanging out with friends. Julia, who I’d met earlier, was there so we hang out, and I met some of Z and N’s Chinese friends (who Z convinced to grab my butt; odd, but whatever).
