Tuesday: On School and Books

Went in to class early today (I start class at 2, but I was there for 10:30). The first of my reports was due today and I went in to meet a prof to ensure I’d done the work properly (as in I was writing and formatting the assignments in the appropriate style). I was, so I felt pleased and did more school work before class started. The actual presentation of the work was fine as well… though I really REALLY don’t like how the session was run. On the way out of lecture, I bought two new books. I know, do I really need more books, and think of how expensive they’ll be to ship home to Montreal when I move back. In my defense, I decided to buy them for a couple reasons: first, the books were being sold for reduced rates, so I saved some quid. Second, the author of the two books is one of my lecturers, the man considered to be THE expert on place names in all of Europe and the UK. He’d left by then (I’d spoken with him earlier in the day), but I plan on having him sign them for me when next we meet. And that is why I made those two purchases. Also, I figured it’d not hurt to have a little in with the prof… because I have a feeling I’ll need it.
