Tuesday: Of Awesome Things in Class

Today started the week of Colin Milton lectures in class. Prof Milton is a lecturer affiliated with the institute, but works down in Edinburgh as a lecturer there. Each semester/year he comes up to Aberdeen for a week and gives about 5 or 6 lectures in the span of two days. He is super amazing, really nice, and is interested in things that I find a lot more interesting than music. His lectures had to do with language, land squabbles, etc and I knew some of what he was saying already, so I was thrilled.

One of my classmates, Chris, proved – again – just how awesome he is. I’d emailed him about accessing an article (he works at a uni and can get files easier than I could) asking if he’d be able to give me a hand. I had the article in my inbox less than 20 minutes later.

In less thrilling news, I had to place another order for food delivery today. It’ll be delivered tomorrow morning, which works well as we have almost nothing left in the kitchen… again.
