I have subtitled today as “5 things to
annoy me”, which I will not bore you with. Needless to say, I had a crap day. I
had more food delivered, and this person delivering it was completely useless
and not as pleasant as last time. Also, I had to bring all the bags (of which
there were 12) upstairs by myself, opening two doors etc with no help because
the deliverer wouldn’t leave the truck and the flatmates didn’t come to help. Some
of the essentials that I’d ordered from ASDA weren’t delivered (things like milk
and bread), so I had to walk down to Lidl and buy it, and bring it back to the
flat.
I then went to the Late Society Fayre (they’re
spelling, not mine). I spent the next few hours hanging out with my CeltSoc
friends: Phoenix, Jenny, Naomi, Katie, and Kerri (listed in no particular order).
We had a lot of fun, and I chatted with the reps from Ab-Fab (the Gay Society
from campus) which shared a table with us. Alison from CeltSoc wasn’t able to
be at the Fayre, but she made some AWESOME decorations for it. While at the
Fayre, I met Adam Khan of the AUSA (Aber. Uni. Student Assoc.). he holds the
title of President of Charities, which is cool, but not how/why I met him. He’s
friends with Phoenix, and some of the others and he and I verbally sparred (and
flirted because I’ve been flirting with almost everyone today – it was one of those
days and flirting makes me feel better!) while at the Fayre, I pulled up my
blog to show the pics from the Ballad Bus to show Jenny, and Kerri, Katie, and
a few others started reading the blog. They seemed to like my (very twisted)
perspective and commentary, so they will (theoretically) be reading this as well
too, so heya to them.
The temperature today was rather chilly; we
hit -2 for most of the morning, so it was a little… fresh to be without my
clothing for cooler/colder weather.
That evening, I met up with Julia and we
went to dinner by Jenny; she cooked this decadent aubergine lasagna thing which
makes me drool just thinking of it. it went well enough that the three of us have
decided to make it a weekly event.
To get to Jenny’s, Julia and I took the bus
from res down to her flat. It was the first time I was on public transport in
Scotland where there was no scholastic purpose behind it. Added to that, it was
a Double Decker bus! My first time on one and I sat up top looking right out
the window; it was fun, save for when the window was smashed by tree branches,
or I had to climb down the really narrow stairs to leave the bus. It’s a start,
no?
