I know that I mentioned the ASDA food
delivery we got on Friday. When they left, our fridge was bursting at the seams.
I was thrilled. Today was bitterness instead. The fridge was almost completely
bare. More shopping was required from me; and I was NOT a happy camper. The 10
pints of milk delivered on Friday had been finished off; three loaves of bread,
and 2 jars of honey, to say nothing of all the meat, vegetables and 12 litres
of juice. So, as I had the day off, I was off to Lidl for food.
That afternoon, the CeltSoc (Celtic Society)
had a committee meeting that I attended. It was fun, Katie and I were pulling
faces at each other from across the table while Cleaves and I bickered. Kerri
just shook her head and tried to run the meeting as we all devolved into
giggling schoolchildren. Essentially, it was a typical meeting for us, and a
great time was had by all.
The only real disappointment was that the
promised sushi dinner was cancelled at the last minute because those who
invited me (Katie, Kerri, and Naomi) decided they had better things to do, like
watch something for school they’d been putting off for ages already. To say I
was bitterly disappointed would be an understatement – I WANT SUSHI!! It’s not
as available here as it is in Montreal, which is not a happy thing for me… so
we all know what I’m doing when I get back, no?
